The Cowgirl Art Collective hosts hands-on workshops and creative gatherings in historic Virginia City, Nevada. These experiences are rooted in craftsmanship, skill-sharing, and community, bringing makers together in a space designed for learning, conversation, and connection.

Workshops and gatherings offered in the Virginia City space include Cowgirl Art Collective–hosted classes, artist-led workshops, and monthly maker meetups.

All experiences are curated to align with the values of the Collective and offered intentionally, not at volume.

Join us for a fun and creative girls night at the Cowgirl Art Collective in Virginia City! Our Cowgirl Maker Meetups are monthly gatherings for creative women, artists, makers, and anyone who wants to spend an evening creating, connecting, and meeting new friends.

These meetups are designed to be casual, welcoming, and beginner-friendly, whether you already consider yourself creative or you just want a fun night out in an inspiring space. Each month, we’ll feature a different easy and enjoyable craft that gives you a chance to relax, make something with your hands, snack, visit, and network with other women in the Western and creative community. No experience is needed. Just come ready to hang out, create, and enjoy a night surrounded by one-of-a-kind cowgirl art and western maker goods.

Tooling, Stamping & Painting Workshop

With Clair Kehrberg

Thursday, June 18, 2026.  Friday, June 19 09:00AM to 5:00 PM

Join Clair Kehrberg in Virginia City Nevada this coming June for a two-day leather tooling, stamping and painting workshop. During this two-day workshop, you will work side-by-side with Clair learning her leather tooling techniques, her border stamping techniques, and her painting and finishing techniques. You will complete a tooling project to take home. You will receive a project information packet that is chock full of excellent information not just for this project but that you can take home and apply to other projects as well. Finished piece is approximately 10 1/2“ x 5 5/8“ and will fit the top of a mini Kobalt tool chest or use it for something else, for example a handbag or large tote.

Western Beaded Bracelet Workshop

With Kim from Mustang Mare Boutique

Join us for a fun girls’ day at the Cowgirl Art Collective with Kim from Mustang Mare Boutique for a hands-on Western beaded bracelet workshop.

Kim will guide you through creating your own custom Western-inspired bracelet using beautiful beads and bracelet accessories. Your registration includes full instruction, all beads and bracelet materials, plus charcuterie snacks to enjoy while you create.

This is the perfect afternoon to gather your girlfriends, make something unique, and spend time in a creative Western atmosphere.

Only 12 spots are available, and this workshop is expected to sell out.

Grab your girlfriends and come enjoy a creative day at the Cowgirl Art Collective with Grit N Glass Co. during this hands-on stained glass workshop. Limited spots available. Whether you are brand new to stained glass or simply want a fun excuse to make something noteworthy and creative, this workshop is designed to be an inviting and memorable experience. You’ll be guided through the process while creating your own stained glass project, with tools to use and prepped glass included.

Western Upholstery Workshops

I host a limited number of Western upholstery workshops through the Cowgirl Art Collective, focused on traditional techniques, materials, and craftsmanship.

These workshops are hands-on and immersive, designed for makers who want to build real skill in Western upholstery in an in-person setting.

Registration for Western upholstery workshops is handled externally through The Rusted Roan Design Co. website.

Artist-hosted Workshops

The Virginia City space is also home to artist-hosted workshops led by approved Cowgirl Art Collective artists.

Artist-hosted workshops may include:

  • Craft and trade skills
  • Creative techniques and processes
  • Art-focused or maker-focused education
  • Skill-building experiences rooted in Western culture

Each artist manages their own workshop content, pricing, and registration through their chosen platform. The Cowgirl Art Collective provides the space and curates the experience to ensure alignment and quality.

  • Hands-On Instruction

    All workshops offer in-person, hands-on learning led by the instructor. Each artist brings their own teaching style, materials, and focus, and will share specific details about what is included and what to bring prior to the workshop.

  • Curated Creative Space

    Workshops take place in the Cowgirl Art Collective’s Virginia City space, designed to support learning, creativity, and connection. Class sizes are intentionally kept manageable to allow for meaningful instruction and interaction.

  • Virginia City Expereience

    While lunch is not included with workshops (unless specified), Virginia City offers a wide variety of nearby food options, making it easy to step out, explore, and enjoy the town during breaks. Time is built into the day to allow participants to grab lunch at their own pace.
